A Word From PEARLS President & CEO, Dr. Tiffany Tardy

In a world that too often tells our community’s youth they are not enough, PEARLS tells them the truth—you are powerful, brilliant, and worthy of joy. Just a few weeks ago, I sat in circle with a group of girls reflecting on what PEARLS means to them. One young woman, quiet but steady, looked up and said:

 

“Before PEARLS, I didn’t know how to trust anyone. Now I know I can.”

 

That moment stopped me. Her words captured everything this movement stands for. Every dollar raised, every hour of mentoring, every space of belonging we fight to protect. Right now, I need to share something urgent.

 

As we move into the final month of our fiscal year, we are facing a $100,000 gap. It’s a big number—but the stakes are even bigger.

 

This is more than a funding challenge.
It’s about momentum.
It’s about keeping promises to the next generation.
It’s about not letting go of all we’ve built together.
